Today, we’re proud to spotlight someone who makes Wash Cycle Laundry what it is in Philadelphia — our Regional Manager, Jessica Paz Velasquez.
Here’s something not everyone knows about Jessica: before joining WCL, she taught Spanish — including to the son of our own CEO, Gabriel Mandujano. That’s how they first met. But beyond being a patient and gifted teacher — already two qualities that translate beautifully into management — she also holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and brings years of experience leading production teams. Before WCL, she managed operations at a paper products manufacturer and oversaw a cutting-and-sewing line for tactical and fire protection garments. In that line of work, getting it wrong isn’t an option.
Jessica joined Wash Cycle Laundry in June of 2022, and from day one she has been a true jack of all trades. Operations, team development, customer relationships, leadership — she handles it all with a level of professionalism and care that sets the standard for what great service looks like at WCL.
But what makes Jessica stand out isn’t just what she does. It’s how she does it. She leads with integrity, she shows up for her team, and she embodies the values we’ve built this company around — including our commitment to second-chance hiring and partnering with organizations that share our mission.
In nearly three years with WCL, she has helped shape what our Philadelphia operation looks like today. We are proud to have her leading that region.
Jessica, thank you. This company is better because of you.
